REPORT OF SANITARY INSPECTOR.
TO THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE
LEYTON URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL.
Mr. Chairman, Madam and Gentlemen,
I beg to submit to you my report for the year 1921.
INSPECTION OF THE DISTRICT AND ABATEMENT OF
NUISANCES.
During the year, 1,573 complaints have been received and
dealt with. An additional inspector was appointed towards the
end of the year and commenced duty on November 1st, since
when he has been exclusively engaged on house-to-house inspection.
The total number of houses inspected was 4,845. 11,500
re-inspections were made, and notices and letters written in
reference to them numbered 3,941, of which 71 were statutory
notices.
