REPORT OF SANITARY INSPECTOR.
TO THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE
LEYTON URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL.
Gentlemen,
I beg to submit to you my report for the year 1920.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE.
1,235 cases of Infectious Diseases (excluding Measles) were
notified during the above-mentioned period.
Appended is a summary of the work in connection therewith :
Houses disinfected and the sanitary arrangements
examined and tested 826
Loads of infected bedding removed to be
disinfected at the Council's Steam
Disinfector and returned 798
Books belonging to Public Institutions
disinfected 152
Number of articles of wearing apparel,
&c., disinfected:—
5 doz. blouses.
1 packing case of underclothing.
39 doz. pair Scouts knickers.
5½ doz. ties.
4 gross nail stone boxes
35 gross bon-bons
6 gross paper hats.
18 articles of miscellaneous clothing.
Disinfectants are supplied in cases of Infectious Diseases, and
can be obtained at the Town Hall at any time during office hours.
