TO THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS
of the
LEYTON EDUCATION COMMITTEE.
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I beg to present the Eleventh Annual Report on the work of
the School Medical Service in Leyton under the Education
(Administrative Provisions) Act of 1907.
The work has been carried on on the same lines as last year.
No routine inspections at the Schools have been attempted. Dr.
Kennedy has visited the Schools three times a week for the purpose
of discovering ailing children, whom the has directed into the
proper channels for obtaining treatment. These have been followed
up at his subsequent inspections and by visits of the School
Nurse.
The amount of work done during the year in attending to the
health of the children, including the Oculist's and Dentist's reports,
as well as the results obtained, will be evident on a perusal
of the matter embodied in the report.
My thanks are due and are hereby acknowledged to members
and officials for their courtesy and help.
I am,
Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
J. FRANCIS TAYLOR,
School Medical Officer
