BAKEHOUSES.
The bakehouses in the district have been frequently visited
during the year. The majority are kept in a very satisfactory
condition; where necessary, notices have been served as regards
uncleanly or other insanitary conditions.
OFFENSIVE TRADES.
The offensive trade premises in the district, including rag and
bone dealers and fried fish shops, have been frequently visited, and
where necessary steps have been taken to sec that the bye-laws
relating to same were duly observed.
MORTUARY.
During the year the number of todies received was 82. There
were 47 post-mortems and 55 inquests held.
PETROLEUM.
18 licences were issued after inspection as to the suitability
of the premises.
DUST COLLECTION.
13,580 loads were delivered to the Dust Destructor and Shoot.
