ISOLATION HOSPITAL.
The Temporary Isolation Hospital has accommodation for 70
Scarlet Fever and 22 Diphtheria patients.
The nursing has been carried out satisfactorily under the
supervision of the Matron, Miss Ryan. Minor changes have
occurred in the personnel, but the number of the staff has remained
the same as in previous years.
A new floor composed of "Woodura" has been laid down
and new bedsteads have been provided in the Male Scarlet Fever
Ward. The whole of the corrugated iron roofs have been
re-painted.
PATIENTS.
The total number of patients treated during the year was 433,
which is the largest number admitted since 1907.
The total number of patients' days in hospital was 18,474.
The total amount expended on the Hospital was £3,539
17s. 8d., which gives an average cost of 3s. 9'9d. per patient per
diem.
The amount expended on provisions was £1,066 0s. 10d.,
which includes the cost of food for the Staff. This gives a daily
average of 1s. l.8d. per patient.
