BACTERIOLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS.
The arrangements made with the County Medical Officer of
Health for the examination of pathological specimens are still in
force and continue to work satisfactorily.
During the year the following numbers of samples have been
sent for examination:—

CANCER.
There were 115 deaths during the year, giving a death-rate
of .92 per 1,000 of the population.
INQUESTS.
The following verdicts were recorded at Inquests held in the
