DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE.
The drainage of 82 houses has been reconstructed. In many
cases the drains formed portions of combined systems of drainage,
and in such instances the work has been done by the Council's
workmen and the expenses incurred have been recovered from the
owners.
During the year 9 ventilating shafts were provided to the
public sewers.
