BACTERIOLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS.
The arrangements made with the County Medical Officer of
Health, whose laboratory at Chelmsford has been removed to
Queen Victoria-street, London, E.C., for the examination of
Swabs, etc., are still in force and continue to work satisfactorily.
During the year the following numbers of samples have been
sent for examination :—

In 1908 Cancer caused 84 deaths.
