salary of ten guineas per annum. In this capacity he visits
patients as well as in his capacity of Tuberculosis Officer. Thus
unnecessary visiting by the Medical Officer of Health, as well as by
the Tuberculosis Officer, is avoided. Every Monday morning the
Medical Officer of Health transmits to the Tuberculosis Officer a
list of the notifications he has received during the previous week.
If on visitation the latter finds any work is needed in connection
with a case which properly falls to the duty of the Local
Authority, such as disinfection, remedying of sanitary defects,
&c., he informs the Medical Officer of Health, who promptly has
the work carried out.
