DEFECTIVE BLIND CHILDREN.
One girl is residing at the Hastings and St. Leonard's Home.
DEAF AND DUMB CHILDREN.
Nine children are attending the Water Lane Deaf and Dumb
Centre, West Ham. One child is at the Royal Asylum, Margate,
and one at Gainsborough Road Deaf and Dumb Centre,
Walthamstow.
TUBERCULOSIS.
School children whose condition suggests that they are
possibly suffering from tuberculosis are referred by the School
Medical Officer to the Tuberculosis Officer for his opinion. Those
found to be affected with tuberculosis as a rule attend the dispensary
for treatment; others whose condition cannot be determined
at the first examination are kept under observation.
The following are the particulars of children examined at the
Tuberculosis Dispensary:—

THE MENTAL DEFICIENCY ACT, 1913.
This Act which came into force on April 1st, 1914, deals
with the following classes of persons:—
1. Idiots.
2. Imbeciles.
3. Feeble-minded Persons.
4. Moral Imbeciles.
