TO THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF
THE LEYTON URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL.
Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen,
I beg to submit my Annual Report on the Health and
General Sanitary circumstances of the District for the year 1913.
The year on the whole has been a favourable one from a health
point of view. No serious Epidemic disease has obtained a hold
in our midst.
In the body of the Report the fact is referred to that Leyton
has suffered far less severely than its surrounding neighbours from
Scarlet Fever and Diphtheria.
That the Council have made no provision for the Hospital
treatment of Small Pox, in spite of my earnest appeals, causes me
grave anxiety. 1 sincerely hope they will see their way to remedy
this defect before it is too late.
Again I have to thank all the Members and Officials for their
invariable courtesy and assistance.
