Female, 6 years. Scarlet Fever 59 days, Measles 20 days, Pleuropneumonia
; in hospital 58 days.
Female, 5 years. Scarlet Fever 23 days, Diphtheria 23 days,
Cardiac Paralysis ; in hospital 23 days.
Female 5 years. Scarlet Fever 5 days, Heart Failure ; in hospital
2 days.
Seven deaths occurred from Diphtheria, the particulars of
which are as follows :—
Male, 10 years. Diphtheria 15 days, Cardiac Paralysis; in hospital
12 days.
Male, 8 years. Diphtheria 2 months, Endocarditis 14 days; in
hospital 63 days.
Male, 1¾ years. Laryngeal Diphtheria, Tracheotomy 8½ hours;
in hospital 9½ hours.
Male, 4 years. Diphtheria 2 days; in hospital 1 day.
Male, 5 years. Diphtheria, Paralysis; in hospital 44 days.
Female, 11 months. Diphtheria, Broncho-Pneumonia 18 days;
Laryngeal Obstruction 8 days; Tracheotomy 8 days; in
hospital 10 days.
Male, 5 years. Haemorrhagic Diphtheria, Laryngeal Obstruction,
Heart Failure ; in hospital 30 minutes.
Tracheotomy was performed nine times, and was successful
in saving life in seven instances.
