In 1906 our Zymotic death-rate was 2.3 per 1,000 of the population

It will thus be seen that our Zymotic death-rate was higher
in 1911 than in any year since 1906. This increase is accounted
for by the large number of deaths which occurred from Diarrhoea
and Measles.
The Zymotic death-rate for England and Wales was 1.88

INFANTILE MORTALITY RATE.
The infantile mortality rate, i.e., the number of deaths of
children under one year of age per 1,000 births, was 111.6.
In 1906 our infantile mortality rate was 114.5
