By arrangement with the County Borough of West Ham
deaf children are taken into one of their schools.
Taken as a whole, the schools themselves are in a satisfactory
state, but the question of more routine cleansing is to be enquired
into by a Sub-Committee of the Education Committee. One of the
schools—Mayville Road—as I have already stated, was thoroughly
cleansed from top to bottom by contract, at a cost of £57; and
four other schools—Ruckholt, Trumpington, Kirkdale and Harrow
Green—have been entirely repainted and whitewashed during the
year; and other minor improvements in the various schools have
been effected.
I must again record my appreciation of the manner in which
the teachers have seconded our efforts, and have always been ready
to give their assistance in any direction we have required.
I am, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
J. FRANCIS TAYLOR.
