WORK OF WOMEN SANITARY INSPECTORS.
During the year Miss Jones and Miss Moynihan have
performed most useful work in connection with the Health
Department. The total number of visits made by these
inspectors amounted to 5,594, reporting 429 nuisances. Many
defects they were able to have remedied without the service of
legal notices. It was, however, necessary to serve 275 intimation
notices and 80 statutory notices, which were complied with.
