Refuse Disposal.
The Hall Farm refuse tip at North Ockendon caused a certain
amount of anxiety during the year. This tip is operated by the East
Ham, West Ham, Ilford and Walthamstow Joint Refuse Disposal Committee.
Refuse Collection.
The Engineer and Surveyor informs me that a further delivery of
Pakamatic refuse collection vehicles was made during the year bringing
the fleet of refuse collection vehicles to 9 Pakamatics, 2 fore and aft
bulk loaders and 8 Chelsea type freighters.
Clean Air.
Our No. 6 Smoke Control Area was confirmed during the year
and will become operative on 1st July, 1965.
