Mass Radiography Unit.
This survey was arranged through Dr. Lawless, the Medical Director
of Mass Radiography Unit No. 6b of the North East Metropolitan
Regional Hospital Board.

A total of 11,961 persons attended comprising 5,781 males and 6,180
females. The figures for 1960 were 9,478; for 1958—8,518; for 1956—
8,831 and for 1954—5,687. It will thus be seen that the final figure of
11,961 examinations for this visit shows an increase of 2,483 compared
with the 1960 visit.
The clinical evaluation of the visit is given below. The Unit detected
ten cases of active pulmonary tuberculosis and seven of carcinoma of
the bronchus, as against seven and two last time.
