Part of white loaf with discoloured dough. White loaf containing piece of string.	Discolouration due to " brown " dough. Bakery informed. Bakery warned.
Joint of meat containing abscess.	Vendor informed. Customer reimbursed. The position of the abscess was such that neither vendor or consumer would have noticed this before meat had been cut.
Meat spot in egg.	No further action required. Harmless foreign body.
Stewed steak containing foreign matter.	Foreign matter identified as part of a lip of a beast. Manufacturer was informed but complainant later withdrew complaint.
Jelly alleged to contain live maggot.	Manufacturer informed. Investigation showed insect to be a house moth larva. No conclusive evidence as to whether moth gained access at shop or elsewhere.
