The overall figures are of the same order as last year.
Analysis shows that smoke control area visits were up four times
with the consequent all round reduction in the other classes of visit, save
for infectious disease which rose to 945. (Largely brought about by the
repercussions of our Smallpox case).
Shops Act, 1950.
The number of shops on the register at the end of the year was 1,166.
56 notices were served during the year regarding contraventions
of the Act.
No legal proceedings were instituted during the year in connection
with this Act.
