As seen Local Authority housebuilding during the year was at a low
completion level and private building also declined somewhat.
It is also reasonable that the number of houses demolished showed
a decline.
Certificates of Disrepair.
The following is a copy of a Return under the Rent Act, 1957,
sent to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government for the period
1st January to 31st December, 1958:
