Sequence of Notifications by Wards:
The numbers below represent the notifications in chronological
order as they were received by me. This analysis was done to elicit any
particular grouping which happened to be present and to evidence
whether the condition was largely limited to any particular part of the

The remaining cases were not suitable for inclusion under this
heading.
Occupation:
It is of interest to note that in 1956, 22 school children were affected
whereas in 1955 only 4 were attacked.
The remaining cases showed a natural variety of occupations which
did not appear to have any particular relevance to the disease.
Isolation of Cases:
Seven cases were removed to hospital in 1956 and two in 1955, the
remainder being treated at home with a natural range both of isolation
and of the period for which isolation was attempted.
