Housing.
This Authority continues to make rapid progress in this connection
and the small slum problem will be dealt with as opportunity
permits. The time is not thought ripe yet for overcrowding to be
the subject of a detailed survey.
Atmospheric Pollution.
This matter continues to receive the sympathetic attention of
the department and our observation points noted previously continue
to operate.
General.
The sanitary circumstances of the district remain favourable.
Administration.
The temporary arrangement with the local Health Authority
outlined last year persists.
Acknowledgments.
My best thanks are due especially to the Chairman of the
Public Health Committee as well as to the members of the Council
generally and to my colleagues in my own and other departments
for the wealth of their co-operation during the year.
