Food and Drugs Act, 1938.
The Essex County Council as the Food and Drugs Authority
for this District administer the provisions of the Act which relates
mainly to the composition of food and drugs.
I am indebted to Mr. F. W. Horsnell, the Chief Inspector, Weights and Measures, etc., Department of the Essex County Council, who has kindly furnished the following particulars of samples taken by his department within the Urban District during 1948 :—
