No person can be considered to have been immunised until he
has received three injections and has been found to have a negative
reaction to the subsequent Schick test.

The following table shows particulars of all such cases which have been reported during the year.

Sex.Age.Treatment received.Final diagnosis.Result.
F.10T.A.F. 3 c.c.DiphtheriaRecovered.
F.13T.A.M. 3 c.c.Tonsillitis
M.4T.A.F. 3 c.c.Laryngitis
F.9T.A.M. 3 c.c.Rhinorrhoea
F.7T.A.F. 3 c.c.Diphtheria
M.12T.A.F. 3 c.c.Tonsillitis

It will be seen that two cases of Diphtheria which were confirmed
bacteriologically occurred after the injection of three 1 c.c.
doses of Toxoid antitoxin floccules which had been followed by a
negative Schick test. The first was a mild case and was a child who
had been subjected to a very severe infection with the Gravis type
of K.L.B. The second case was that of a girl who also received
three 1 c.c. injections of Toxoid antitoxin floccules followed by a
negative Schick test. The type of organism with which she was
infected was the Intermediate type. She had a moderately severe
attack but made a good recovery.
