COUNCIL OFFICES,
BILLET LANE,
HORNCHURCH,
Essex.
7th June, 1939.
To the Chairman and Members of the
Hornchurch Urban District Council.
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present my Annual Report on the Vital
Statistics and Sanitary Circumstances of the District for the
year 1938.
Perusal of the statistics set out in the report will show that the
year has been a healthy one.
Many new houses have been constructed and building development
still continues, although towards the end of the year there
was a little slackening.
I wish to thank the members of the Council for their continued
support in my work and to acknowledge the assistance which I have
received from my fellow officers.
ALFRED BALL, M.D., D.P.H.,
Medical Officer of Health.
