Shops.
Bach of the 4 Sanitary Inspectors has included in his duties
inspections under the Shops Acts both with regard to the sanitary
provisions of the Act of 1934 and the shops hours regulated by these
Acts.
1,195 visits of inspection were paid to shops during the year and
where there was any minor infringement the attention of the proprietor
was called to it.
No legal proceedings were taken during the year.
At the end of the year there were 887 shops on the register.
Smoke Abatement.
No action with regard to smoke abatement was taken during
the year.
Swimming Baths and Pools.
There are no public or privately owned swimming baths or
pools in the District which are open to the public.
