Deaths from Diarrhoea (under 2 years of age).
Among children under two years of age there were 14 deaths
registered as due to Diarrhœa; this is equivalent to a rate of 0.9
per thousand births the corresponding rate for England and Wales
being 5.5.
Deaths from Malignant Disease.
There were 97 deaths from carcinoma and other forms of
malignant disease; the death rate being 1.27 per thousand population.
The corresponding rate for England and Wales was 1.66
