I am indebted to Mr. D. E. Hart, the Surveyor, for the subjoined information on rainfall as recorded at the two recording stations which were used during the year.

During the years 1936 and 1935, the total amount of rainfall at
the Eastern Outfall Works was 22.68 inches and 21.64 inches, and
rain fell on 160 days and 159 days respectively.
