4. Nursing in the Home.
There are three District Nursing Associations:—
(1.) The Hornchurch Nursing Association maintain two private
nurses, one in the Town Ward and one in the North West Ward.
(2.) The Upminster and Cranham Nursing Association maintains
two private nurses.
(3). The Rainham Nursing Association maintains one private
nurse in Rainham.
All of the local associations are affiliated to the Essex County
Nursing Association.
5. Treatment Centres and Clinics.
The County Council is the Local Authority for Maternity and
Child Welfare and for the medical services amongst school children.
Ante-natal clinics are held twice a week and the Women's Welfare
Clinic once a week at the Combined Treatment Centre in
Westland Avenue, also an ante-natal clinic once a week at the
Rainham Clinic.
Infant Welfare Clinics are held at the Combined Treatment
Centre in Westland Avenue; Memorial Hall, Harold Wood; Holy
Cross Hall, Park Lane; Combined Treatment Centre Rainham, and
St. Laurence Hall, Upminster.
