Under arrangements made by the Essex County Council, Dr.
J. F. Beale, 91 Queen Victoria Street, London, E.C.4., appointed
Bacteriologist for Essex, undertakes the examination of specimens
as enumerated below.
Blood:—
(a) Agglutination reaction for Typhoid Bacillus, etc.
(b) Cultural examination of Blood for organisms.
Cerebro-spinal Fluid:—Chemical and bacterioligical examination.
Fasces:—Bacteriological and other microscopical examinations.
Gastric Contents.
Pleural, Peritoneal and Ascitic Fluids.
Pus:—Microscopical examination, etc.
Sputum.
Urine:—Chemical and bacteriological examinations.
Swabs:—Examination for Diphtheria Bacilli, Streptococci, etc.
Water:—
(a) Chemical and bacteriological examination of drinking
water.
(b) Swimming bath water for chemical and bacteriological
examination.
