SECTION E.
SUPERVISION AND INSPECTION OF FOOD.
1. Milk Production.
There are 19 herds of milch cattle in the District, on farms
which are registered under .the Milk and Dairies Order, 1926
These farms are all inspected from time to time and samples of
milk are taken by the Sanitary Inspectors for examination as to
cleanliness and bacterial content by the County Bacteriologist.
A list of the dairy farms showing at which of them the producers
holds a licence issued by the County Council to produce Grade

A milk under the Accredited Milk Scheme is set out in the following table:—

The Milk (Special Designations) Order, 1923, requires that
Grade A Milk as retailed shall contain not more than 200,000 bacteria
per cubic centimetre and no coliform bacillus in one hundredth
of a cubic centimetre.
