Scavenging.
The collection and disposal of house refuse is carried out
under the directions of the Surveyor. The house refuse is removed
weekly in horse drawn closed-in vehicles to a tip which is under the
control of the Council and where it is covered with earth. The
emptying of cesspools is only undertaken by the Council in one area
which is remote from any sewer.
Sanitary Inspection of the District.
