Section E.—Inspection and Supervision of Food.
(a) Milk Supply.
There are 7 producers of milk in the District.
Dairy farms and dairies are inspected frequently in connection
with the Milk and Dairies Order, 1926. 18 samples of milk
were obtained and submitted to the Counties Laboratory for
examination and report on bacterial content and cleanliness. Two
of these were not satisfactory and had to be examined again to
obtain a better result.
Altogether 15 reports were satisfactory and 3 were not
satisfactory. In the latter cases the matter was taken up with the
producer.
