PARATYPHOID FEVER
One case of this disease was notified. The patient, a school-boy, had
recently returned from a holiday in Southern Italy, where he had been drinking well
water. This was probably the source of infection.
FOOD POISONING
During the year 29 cases of food poisoning were notified compared with 31 in
1961. The following is a copy of a report made to the Ministry about the
organisms responsible for the individual and family outbreaks.
