INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATES OF VACCINATION
International Certificates of vaccination for persons travelling to certain countries abroad are
required in respect of Smallpox, Yellow Fever and Cholera.
Vaccination against any disease other than yellow fever can be done by a person's own doctor,
or exceptionally(by arrangement) at a hospital. So long as vaccination is done under the
National Health Service, whether by a person's own doctor or at a hospital, no charge may be made
for it, but in either case the doctor concerned may chargefor issuing an International Certificate.
Yellow fever vaccination must, for international and technical reasons, be done only at a
Centre designated by the Government; in London the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, 4 St. Pancras
Way, N.W.1.
