The following table shows the number of licences issued under these Regulations
during 1956.

CONDEMNATION OF POOD.
The amount of foodstuffs condemned during the year shows little change from 1955.
A large proportion of the food condemned in the Hendon area is accounted for by
the fact that a multiple firm has a central distributing depot within the Borough
serving many branches throughout London.
Condemned foodstuffs are disposed of by incineration at the Council's Refuse
Disposal Works.
