(6) Hospital Provision:
Suspected and actual cases from the Borough
and from outside Authorities were admitted to the
Isolation Hospital for investigation and treatment,
subsequent orthopædic treatment being arranged with
the Royal National Orthopædic Hospital, Stanmore,
and the St. Vincent's Orthopædic Hospital, Pinner.
TUBERCULOSIS:
The following Table shows the notifications of tuberculosis
during the last seven years:—

I am indebted to the Tuberculosis Officer at the Redhill
Chest Clinic for the following observations:—
"The number of patients on the Clinic register at the
close of 1947 was 1,531 as compared with 1,602 at the
beginning of the year. 90 patients were recommended for
treatment at County Sanatoria, but the waiting time for
admission was still approximately six months.
79 deaths occurred during the year, sub-divided as
follows:—
