was found to be in a state so dangerous, or injurious to health, as to he unfit
for human habitation.

108 special visits have been made to secure cleanliness of dairies
and dairy farms and for protecting milk against contamination.
There is one pasteurising establishment in the district and during the
past year, 56 samples of bottled pasteurised milk taken immediately after machine
capping were submitted for bacteriological examination. One of the samples failed
to comply with the requirements of the Milk (special Designations) Order, 19361941,
the bacteria exceeding 100,000 per millilitre,, although all samples gave
