In conclusion I wish to thank the members of the Council for
the facilities they continued to extend towards the maintenance and
development of the Public Health Services, especially during a period
when new problems created by the war were inevitably claiming priority,
and also to the members of my staff who have successfully undertaken
many and varied additional duties which have necessitated long and
arduous hours of overtime.
I have the honour to be,
Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
A. FAIRGRIEVE ADAMSON,
Medical Officer of Health.
