The following table shews the number of premises used for the preparation, storage, and sale of foodstuffs, which are registered in pursuance of the above Act:-

These premises are inspected periodically to ensure the
maintenance of hygienic conditions.
FOOD AND DRUGS (ADULTERATION) ACT, 1928.
The Administrative body under this Act is the
Middlesex County Council, and their Inspectors have taken the
following samples in the district for the year ended 31st
December, 1938.
The following Table was kindly forwarded to me by Mr.
S. J. Pugh, Acting Chief Officer, Public Control Department:—
