DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACTS, 1894-1927.
Foot and Mouth Disease.
No case of this disease occurred in Hendon during the year
nor was the Borough included in any order made by the
Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries in connection with the
disease.
Tuberculosis (Tuberculosis Orders, 1925 and 1931).
Five cows were dealt with under the provisions of the
above Orders.
Swine Fever.
Swine Fever (Regulation of Movement of Swine Order, 1922).
7 licences, relating to the movement of 215 swine into the
district, have been received : inspections were made during
the detention period prescribed by the Order, to ensure
satisfactory isolation of the animals.
Swine Fever Order, 1908.
Notice of an outbreak of Swine Fever was received and
was confirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
A notice placing the premises under movement restrictions
was served upon the occupier of the infected premises.
Three pigs died from the disease and were buried in
accordance with the requirements of the Order.
The notice was withdrawn on 28th August.
Infected sties were cleansed and disinfected.
