MIDWIVES.
There is one Municipal Midwife whose work lies mostly
in West Hendon, but a number of demands for her services
are also being made from the Colindale area.
The following are the particulars of her work during the years 1935 and 1936 :—

The total number of Midwives registered for practice in
the district and resident in the district during the year was 33.
MATERNITY CENTRES AND HOME VISITATION.
It will be seen that there is a steady increase in the
numbers attending the centres, the total having increased from
42,491 to 44,521. This is due to the services becoming better
known and to the fact that the Borough is still developing
rapidly.
