Meat:—
22 stone 2 lbs. of Beef Tainted.
Fish:—
6 stone 2 lbs. of Cod Decomposition.
Fruit and Vegetables:—
1 Crate of Bananas Decayed.
1 Crate of Oranges Decayed.
14 Apples Fouled by Rats.
Other Foods:—
1 pkt. Quaker Oats Fouled by Rats.
1 pkt. Grape Nuts do.
30 Pastries do.
4 pots of Chutney do.
30 pkts. of Chocolate do.
1 pot of Jam do.
In all cases where articles of food were brought
to the Public Health Department by purchasers who
considered them of doubtful quality the shop from
which they were purchased was forthwith visited and
their Stores examined.
SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
The Administrative body under these Acts is the Middlesex
County Council, and their Inspectors have taken the
following samples in the District for the year ended 31st
December, 1925.
The following Table shewing the articles purchased with
the result of their analysis was kindly forwarded to me by Mr.
R. Robinson, Chief Officer of the Public Control Department.
