Table IV., with the exception of the Hendon figures, is
supplied by the Registrar General. I have added the Hendon
figures for comparison and for this purpose have used the
Registrar General's estimate of the population. This makes
the various rates (with the exception of the rate per 1,000
births) higher than those calculated on my estimate of the
population.
It will be seen that the Hendon Birth Rate is low and that
the other rates, almost without exception, compare very favourably
with those of England and Wales, London and the
groups of large and small towns.
