A report upon the condition of each house was considered
by the Public Health Committee and Certificates were
ordered to be issued in each instance.
It was, however, only found necessary to issue 8 Certificates,
as the owners, on being informed of the Committee's
decision, proceeded forthwith to execute the needed repairs.
DISINFECTION.
347 Infected rooms disinfected by spraying with a solution
of Formalin or by the vaporising of Formaldehyde
Tablets.
24 Infected rooms cleansed, viz., wall papers stripped from
walls and ceilings whitewashed, in compliance with
notices served under the Infectious Diseases (Prevention)
Act, 1890.
4349 Mattresses, articles of bedding, clothing, etc., disinfected
at Disinfection Station by steam in a Washington-Lyons
apparatus. All articles disinfected, collected
and returned by the Sanitary Authority by a
motor van.
