INQUESTS.
During the year 49 inquests were held in the district.
Last year 47 were held.
SENILE MORTALITY.
Of the 490 deaths of residents in Hendon 94 were persons
over 70 years of age.
The. proportion of deaths occurring amongst those over
70 years of age to the total deaths was therefore .19 per cent.
The following is a return of the number of persons dying
ov?r 70 years of age in the different localities:—
Mill Hill 10 Golders Green and
Burnt Oak 4 Temple Fortune 17
Central Hendon 23 Child's Hill and
West Hendon 17 Cricklewood 23
INFANTILE MORTALITY.
Deaths registered under 1 year of age, 77.
Infantile Mortality Rate, 73 per 1,000.
Infantile Mortality, England and Wales, 114 per 1,000.
Seventy-seven deaths were registered, as compared with
64 last year. Last year this rate was exceptionally low.
