Of the 578 deaths registered, 490 were parishioners, 67 of
which number died in hospitals or in institutions in other
districts.
In Table III. the deaths are classified in districts, and
under the various causes of death. The 155 deaths of nonparishioners
occurred in the Hendon Union, City of Westminster
Union, and at various private residences.
Last year the deaths of parishioners numbered 402,
shewing an increase this year of 88 deaths.
The corrected death-rate 10.44 per 1,000 signifies the
death-rate which would obtain in Hendon if the local age
and sex distribution were the same as that of the country
generally.
