Offices, Workplaces, etc.
The Offices, Shops and Railway Premises Act received the
Royal Assent on the 31st July. Efforts by the Council to
secure an amendment so that the Public Health Inspectors in
this District could continue to inspect offices in connection
with factories, which they have been doing for many years, were
unsuccessful. The inspection of these premises when the Act
comes into force in 1964 will therefore pass to the Factory
Inspectorate.
