PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER, INFECTIOUS
DISEASES
(а) General.
Deaths from tuberculosis—these decreased from twenty-four
last year to twelve.
Poliomyelitis—although the number of cases increased there
were again no deaths.
(b) Scabies.
Arrangements have been made for scabies to be treated at
Hillingdon Hospital; no cases, however, were reported during
the year.
(c) Diphtheria Immunisation.
This service is now undertaken by the Middlesex County
Council at the Child Welfare Clinics in the district.
