SECTION F
PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER, INFECTIOUS
DISEASES
Scabies.—By arrangement with the Hayes Cottage Hospital,
four clinics weekly have been held for treatment of scabies and
infestation with lice.
Members of the British Red Cross Society have very kindly
volunteered to give their services at the clinic. In addition,
the First Aid Post at Minet Clinic dealt with cases of scabies
and lice arising in the population nearest to them.
Scabies cases were treated by Benzyl Benzoate and disinfestation
from lice was effected by the use of Lethane Oil, in
both cases very successfully. 938 attendances were recorded
during the year.
